eljob, imagine the millions of kids who danced to the beatles in the 60s
Sir the stones were also a giant phenomenon and well beyond the beedles tenure
Satisfaction, Miss You, Start Me Up
Satisfaction has a decade and half jump on MJ so I dunno
nah those MJ songs still far surpass those stones ones in popularity

Ok but cumulative radio plays across the planet and centuries? Satisfaction at least as famous as any MJ

Apparently You've Lost That Loving Feeling is the most-played song in the history of radio. Spector won. Hal Blaine definitely in the too handful most heard drummers.

MJ literally the most famous person ever besides like hitler maybe. and those people probably heard at least a song. and definitely a bigger reach for the non english speaking/non western countries

Yeah I'm not counting Michael in this contest
never really thought about it but hes the most important Stone after Mick and Keith
main factor to the danceability/movement in their music, which they had over any of the other Brit invasion acts (and almost any rock band in general). seeing them live really made me realize what an important aspect that is to their sound
Keith said in 1979: “Everybody thinks Mick and Keith are the Rolling Stones. If Charlie wasn’t doing what he’s doing on drums, that wouldn’t be true at all. You’d find out that Charlie Watts is the Stones.”
