Elvis’s version was too “pop” to my ears. Waylon helped me see how gritty it was. I always liked the album but I like it a lot more now.

I'm a few tracks in and its pretty nice tbh, its pretty rocking but definitely not hard rock or anything like that. production sounds normal and could have came in the early 70s. but this ones only 1977 so im sure it got worse on the next few
