Hypothetically if there’s 15 teams or whatever who are able to concentrate the best players within the league and play weekly against each other there’s 0 chance people boycott watching it
internationally absolutely not, youre right.
but i'll give credit to the local based fans. the people of liverpool rallied to the point they literally stopped a newspaper from being circulated in the city. i'd back them in to stick to their word
This, its a strong way of putting the point across but its valid in every sense
Spot on. The UCL is a MASSIVE part of my clubs history & to see it disregarded because these yanks who haven’t been to a game in 2 years and probably couldn’t name the stadium want even more money? How could anyone support it?
UEFA propaganda really working in this thread
Who you supporting pleighboiii?
Good thing oligarchs, white venture capitalists and sheikhs are the pillars of progressive thinking!
Once again, lesser of two evils.
the contrarians itt are way off the mark. you can tell they know barely anything about this sport. just don’t interact with them.
I got no idea wtf going on but I am for the people
let them weak ass teams cook bruh, let em at least try.
They need money too, let em generate revenue.
Okay so these are s*** teams then? stick with one narrative.
The narrative has not changed. This “league” is a disgrace and goes against everything British football (the inventors of the game) stands for from bottom to top.

another cowboy lining up on his knees for the saudi oil lords, well done mate
Who you supporting pleighboiii?
nobody, they are all trash but imagine thinking uefa is the better case in that lmaoooooo
both greedy as f***. thats the only reason why uefa is crying like s*** right now
a better comparison is college football.
Alabama, Clemson, Oklahoma, Georgia, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Michigan, USC, Texas, etc are all clearly the biggest and most storied teams in the country, but there's always a chance for other teams to beat them (in theory)
this would be like if all of those teams left the NCAA and decided to create their own league and start paying athletes that played for them
I am doing no such thing. It is a sign of how the owners of this club have no regard for the history & meaning of the tournament for this club.
It's like bringing up Hillsborough when Klopp decided to sit out a FA Cup replay, it's cheap.
I'm sure the old football league also holds a lot of meaning to United, but I doubt if you were around then you'd bring up some tragedy relating to the competition.
Like I said before, UEFA have already thrown that out the bin when they created thee Champions League, or even with their announcement today.
So your argument is UEFA bad = let’s go ahead with the ESL?
All I did was post a tweet address tweet fool

not really you dumb idiot, i hate this idea but uefa isn't better
everything nowadays in football is about money but some of yall are too dense to get it
If the comparison is to American sports leagues they don’t lack competition
The nba in a sense lack competition but that’s primarily due to different sizes of markets which wouldn’t be an issue here as pretty much all of these clubs are “super” regardless of their recent trophy history
Not comparing it to the nba or american sports. That system might just be better for american sports where the sport is pretty much only played in one (big) country.
Your rappers and athletes try to be Americans eat a d*** y’all mad and still gon be in the Super League thread commenting on games 😂😂😂
F***in dweebs u don’t stand on anything
UEFA propaganda really working in this thread
It's possible to be strongly against the ESL and simultaneously acknowledge that there are clear issues with UEFA/FIFA
Reform is clearly needed

no f***ing s*** professional sport is about $, astonishing insight, brilliant work
that doesn't mean people who have given a lot to these clubs shouldn't feel aggrieved when the soul of competition and culture is ripped out. they stop becoming football clubs and become franchises and brands. if you're not from one of the affected cities/regions your opinion is literally irrelevant because you're essentially a tourist "appropriating" for want of a better word the culture and connection these clubs have with their local people.
