Alabama, Clemson, Oklahoma, Georgia, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Michigan, USC, Texas, etc are all clearly the biggest and most storied teams in the country, but there's always a chance for other teams to beat them (in theory)

this would be like if all of those teams left the NCAA and decided to create their own league and start paying athletes that played for them

that doesn't mean people who have given a lot to these clubs shouldn't feel aggrieved when the soul of competition and culture is ripped out. they stop becoming football clubs and become franchises and brands. if you're not from one of the affected cities/regions your opinion is literally irrelevant because you're essentially a tourist "appropriating" for want of a better word the culture and connection these clubs have with their local people.
