OP had so much desire to d***ride Eminem that he had to make some weird rule that limits them to the years they both release.
Even then Hov is better. TES is the only Eminem album that actually stood the test of time.
Recovery wasn't really a mature album, it just had that theme as a marketing gimmick. But the content itself wasn't.

Not at all what I did, I’m just evaluating their work and pointing out the times where they released together.
You did the same thing in my other thread, just read OP
4:44 is a lot more serious. Also Jay is absolutely dragging himself through the mud on 444
I’d say both are pretty serious in terms of subject matter. BUT TES was fully produced and written by Eminem.
Again I’m talking about better as an ARTIST

All that for nothing bc you ignored Hov's best work. You compared Em's best 4 albums to some of Hov's weakest.. even then tbh I'll still take Hov like I said. As far as a full album experience Em's discog starts and ends with TES for me, keep the rest.
Stopped reading when i read eminem show is a grown man rap album but has drips on it

And work that nigga, like a slave owna'
When I dropped off my outfit, she knew I wanted to bone her
She foamin' at them lips, the ones between the hips
Pubic hair's lookin' like some sour cream dip
Without the nacho, my d*** hit the spot though
Pussy tighta' than conditions of us black folks
Obie trice's verse on that song still
bugs me till this day

I didn’t ignore Anything? Albums from both artists weren’t mentioned, I was just pointing out the times that they released in the same year

Like Story or OJ didn’t have stereotype bars against young black artists and Jewish people. @deej61
Amazing song though.

Fam, that's not going to change the fact that I cringe everytime at Obie trice's verse about nacho p**** being tighter than conditions of black folk

That’s all Obie tho haha no one has gave me any reason to think that Jay is a better artist tho

True, dope avi by the way
Em highs are better but overall Jay got it

jay-z more respected as a business man than as a rapper?
all jay-z is is a shady (no pun intended) capitalist businessman who screws ppl over left and right. all he cares about is his own pockets.
there was a time where I wouldn't hesitate to put eminem in top 5 all time, but since 2009, he ruined any chance of being in there. he went the pop-rap route focused on making safe music or super duper fast rap bullshit where he tries to out-fast-rap himself on each song.
plus, jay-z's voice and rap style hasn't changed too drastically from 20 years ago until now, and it aged well, sounds good as opposed to eminem who has an unbearable voice and his flow and delivery is horrendous.
bp2 has some gems but overall the eminem show is the only better album that year between the two. same for mmlp vs dynasty. only cause those are em's 2 best albums where as those aren't jay's best albums.
