I also wanted to take this time to address some misinformation that I keep getting messages about related to an old project of mine that people on sites like RYM are trying to connect with Los Thuthanaka which is quite misleading.

I had an old project/band called Luna is Honey. Because of some of the years I worked on it, there is a misconception that Elly was a full on member of the band. This is simply not the case.
There is an old article that mentions them as such but it was a misunderstanding due to them being credited as a session player on some old recordings of that project. Mind you, this was in the era of MySpace and handing out CD-Rs at shows (and when I really fetishized doing creative things in the moment without documentation) so naturally the transition into putting things on Bandcamp was a trial and error process in terms of what we wanted to catalog and not.

There are some music nerds who read that old article and used internet archive to look at old faulty Bandcamp credits for recordings and just want to build hype for something they were not a part of. Maybe it’s done out of “completionist love”…who knows. I guess I’m just old-school but that type of thing seems obnoxious and invasive to me.
If you want to listen to an old band of mine, please have at it! But if you’re looking for proto Thuthanaka, it ain’t it. Sorry to disappoint.
