Def gonna be bigger than a regular dlc. Elden ring 1.5 gonna be crazy.

Hope the expansion refines the combat system tbh. Ain’t no reason in 2024 we should be cycling through haphazardly one skill or spell at a time.

Probably my biggest critique of this game but more so FromSoft critique in general. Idc what anyone says the skill/spell system is clunky as hell.

My save got corrupted twice.

1st: 200+ hrs
2nd: 50 hrs (by this run I was already towards endgame)

A gaming race pedal/wheel company has a collab controller with Elden ring? Just sounds weird to me. Also I mean like GTA6 had straight up dev kit or whatever and gameplay get leaked, insomniac gets hacked and leaks drop etc…

Meanwhile fromsoft running a tight ass ship we don’t know s*** about this expansion

Now the question is if I make a brand new character and do a playthrough, or go with one of my old faithfuls need an announcement within the next couple months pls

Yeah I'm tempted to play the DLC on my original character who's on like NG+4 or something at this point

yea the one I was considering was a NG2 strength/faith build, but with how massive this might end up being maybe its time to roll a new char hope we get some news soon

People thinking this DLC is going to be basically a whole new game are setting themselves up for disappointment, IMO. It's a long development time for a DLC, but with it just being an expansion I'm sure they have less of their developers dedicated to it.

With that in mind, I don't think we can assume that the longer it takes to drop = the bigger it will be.

But my take, along with everyone else's, is still (nearly a year later) just speculation. All we've seen is the announcement photo. S***'s more painful to me than the GTA trailer saying the game is two years away, lol. At least that got a release year.

Of course its a bit of a reach to say its gonna be massive and basically a new game. However it also wouldnt be the first time a DLC was turned into a new game mid development. It doesnt make sense to sell a 40€-50€ DLC since that basically the price of a new game.

Youre right tho its still most likely just their standard Old Hunters tier DLC for 20-30€ imo
