You can get the first 2 smithing bells pretty easy . Get the first bell off a crystalian boss and a 2nd one from a corpses. Turn them into the two husks and can buy them straight up using runes.

There are somber smithing bells too but the first bell is a b**** cause that boss is a b****

Think there is a bell for grave roots too

There are these mining bells that you can give to the traider in the mainhub. I got all of them and can buy anything up to the last smithing stones for +10 or +24 and +25 weapons

Honestly all these classic DS3 tier bosses are so much easier than radahn or Astel imo with the exception of Melania but they are just so dam fun

Yep messages by other players. Those red pools on the ground you can watch how people died basically. Can be very helpful. The messages are sometimes pretty helpful for finding hidden paths and walls and they can give important tips but there is also lots of cringe jokes and bad trolls so be careful

Ghosts are just lore for that area /section/ castle

If you mean candle stick ghosts they lead you to a cave /catacomb or a tunnel
