Not movie related but I just finished Dune messiah book and I found it very disappointing, it's not subtle and elegant like the first, everything is in your face... Like the Hitler name dropping parallel ? Fr we knew that Herbert no need to do something a 16yo would to emphase a how it's a giant genocide plus idk it felt almost like he wanted to tell us hey y'all b\*\*\*\* didn't understand the first book and why Paul is the evil so I'm telling y'all
I’m going for my 4th on Wednesday. So hyped
Love when movies come out like this and everyone goes multiple times/can’t get enough discussing it. Wish we had more like this.

It’s known as the worst book in the saga
Where does this movie end in the books? Wanna start reading whats next
End of the first book. Next is Messiah.
Pretty excited to see this again actually
bro every shot of lady Jessica after she becomes the reverend mother is jaw droppingly gorgeous and ornate and sinister and i f***ing love it
Was such a joy to watch.
Not a single person in my theater left to use the bathroom or get snacks lol
I’d put it up there with the greatest fantasy film ever

Dune is literally the only good book. The story falls off a cliff afterwards
I think this is a cinematic masterpiece
My biggest problem is that they didn’t do a good enough job of showing that Paul himself is a bad guy. It felt like they made Paul too sympathetic while making Jessica and his sister seem evil. Also the slap scene was kinda cringe. Other then that man what a f***ing masterpiece
Yeah the fighting scenes with the sand storms making it difficult to see the freman was so sick
I did like Paul’s voice getting stronger by the time he turned full heel, it really felt like watching a boy turn into a man
Bit too sanitized big budget scifi but the action scenes were incredible
Wall of sound thing got annoying after a while esp when it would cover up dialogue
Overall still great
Seeing as how Frank Herbert wrote an entire second book that focused on informing readers Paul is an anti-hero I don’t think that’s much of a criticism,
Let the trilogy complete
I personally didn't like that cause it felt like it defied what his character represented in the first book
Idk how Denis will portray Messiah tbh but I’m in for anything he touches this was a masterpiece and anybody who doesn’t think so didn’t get it
After Chani shoots down the helicopter…
And they’re running back and the music cuts…
And you just hear chani laughing…
And the BOOM.
This and they feyd announcement are the things that I live for in cinema
Can I just say the opening scenes explosions looked bad?
