That's not true. The reaction to all the 100 Gigs tracks were positive. Same goes for the songs he did with Gordo. Even U My Everything eventually got a good reception once people got over it being his first song released after the battle.

You're too focused on social media (which is never going to have anything positive to say about Drake). Social media has s*** on every Drake project since Views. They call everything he drops terrible but they still end up listening. That isn't a viable enough reason for him to stop making/releasing music.

Also, why are you speaking of commercial success when those songs weren't released traditionally? They dropped at least a week after being available to listen/download for free at CDQ.

Again, none of what you're saying is reason enough for Drake to disappear because him doing that won't change s***. People have been hating crazy on Drake on social media since at least Views. That didn't stop him from dropping music and I don't know why you think him doing that now would be beneficial. Whenever he drops his next project, the haters will come out in droves — whether that's this year or 2028.

None of them were pushed on radio as singles. Every song you see spending a long time on the charts gets treated as a single (radio push, music video, heavy playlisting on DSPs, etc).

Drake needed to take a proper break before the beef even happened, but now it's all more of a reason for him to take a break. Ye is a good example of how bad pr can roll over by leaving the public eye for a while. Drake has stayed in thr public eye nonstop for years, people have gotten tired of it
