    OHMNI

good s*** even though i dont think diddy has anything to do with this

  • Nov 26, 2024

Drake has litterally been the Golden child of UMG and the pioneer of the streaming era and benefited the most from the system. So why should we care now? Wrong messenger and a gaslighter.

And the stans know they deadass wrong for defending this.

    OVO Steve Carell

this is kinda worrying tbh - UMG doesnt care about Drake not Kendrick

Not really Drake being proactive might have caught them off-guard. Lucian was also mentioned iirc in the Diddy case. He would be best advice to avoid another public case. The Boy isn't worried remember: mind, body and soul.

drake cares about his and i am entirely convinced hes doing it out of his own self interest. at worst hes a gambling addict and is willing to go down with the ship because his bottom line is likely secured and his industry placement wont be the same after this year anyhow. all of that should nevertheless give us insight into how the industry works, and i absolutely hope it does

i dont wanna get bogged down with appearances and who won and who lost when it entirely doesnt f***ing matter. a big player gets f***ed out of his money and wants to tell it all -- i welcome it with all my heart because the music industry is a horrifying american enterprise that has to do with my and everybody elses love for music

    An honest take

Fair take. I do think the perception of it is gonna be soured due to how this narrative is going.

Like ay, get your money if the label is f***ing you out of your bread but pinning it on the streams of a diss record against you just looks insane,

And if he loses, it's gonna look WORSE

Ah yes, the “well look I did good by bringing up the forms of hiphop that got us here today to the feeling of ‘hiphop is dead’ while still teaming with the corporation and helping boost their desires”

Let’s not forget Drake dropped 18 songs after the beef and they all flopped

lmao, i love when fans of either side just dismiss the arguments you have instead of trying to actually debate them, its like a real validation

yall said kendrick was the saviour of rap, we never said that about drake

answer me honestly, who does more for "hip-hop", the guy who constantly brings new variation to the forefront of music or the guy who writes music to the same beats as the 90s who has a niche fanbase that has undersold the leaders in the genre since, let me reference chat gpt for this, forever

So now we’re about to compare different forms of hiphop, to tear down another’s approach to the art form by minimizing it to whatever tf you minister it to just to big up our favorite

Salute. Enjoy being drunk or whatever lol

  • I thought that fuego dude really wanted to have discourse in good faith but it just turned into weird c***rants about 90s hip hop and s***.

We really gotta start gatekeeping again lmaoo

lmao, my point is that just because drake and kendrick perform a different version of "hip hop" doesnt mean that one is less than the other, do you disagree?

Bruh. I can’t believe someone just said Drake is more musically inclined than Kendrick because he rapped over drill, trap, light rage, and sang over (mainly ghostwrote) afrobeats and R&B beats. Nigga I could pull that out my catalogue rn. I can’t pull a Kendrick song out

And I respect Drake, I like that he does that.

lmfao, i love this argument because truly you guys did it first, i literally had someone respond to me earlier questioning which "genre" drake fell into or which lane of hip hop he was when i was trying to make my point
