It is a bad look but it all depends on the case he's able to make at the end of the day. If he's able to reveal that there was wrongdoing and sabotage on the part of UMG, then that's crazy, especially if he can prove that they did it to bring down his value in the marketplace or to spite him.

The thing is that he hasn't actually filed a lawsuit yet so it's not really clear what his goals and intentions are.

I think anyone with some common sense can see that this is way bigger than Kendrick and the fact that UMG told Drake to sue Kendrick instead or else they'd sue Kendrick themselves if he sued them, lets me know that there's at least a little chance of foul play on their part.

If they really do have nothing to hide, they won't waste any time opening up their books and making Drake look stupid when he does his discovery and finds nothing.
