SecondRingScorpion his worst project tbh. The beef didn't allow him to make the album that HE wanted. It was more of a response album.
I relistened to Scorpion the other day while driving around in the city and biking by Lake Ontario. And it was honestly pretty dope. Too long as many have pointed out. But it does have a vibe. The minimalism of the beats has a certain cohesion to it. I agree it's worse than any of his albums (counting ML, DLDT and IYRT in that) other than Thank Me Later and DLDT.

When it could’ve just been pop. Most of the songs on there that are bad are the songs tryna recreate the energy from IYRT like 9. Grave is the best part of 9 that should say something

But the music was still top notch for me cause I took the music for what it was and that’s how I enjoy drizzy music I don’t make it to what I wanted or expected or need it to be . Same thing with scorpion only red flag I have against drizzy with scorpion is it could of surpassed every album in his discorgraphy if he trimmed the fat on it and the one song that leaked that’s pretty much better than the entire album which is vital . OVO needs their asses whooped for leaving vital off the album and it was a leftover track. Other than that 8/10 projects for me both views and scorpion

KlausI really hate this narrative because it doesn't make much sense. He didn't even really respond outside of a handful of lines. Why did he have to change his whole album instead of releasing a response track separate from the album? Especially since as a "response album" he hardly responded to anything.
Almost every song on side A makes a reference to Pusha, Kanye, Good Music, etc.
