Understanding context seems like a lost art, especially on the internet
He’s clearly saying no matter what he drops he’s gonna be criticized and most likely down the road people will be more receptive to it, just like Views is today
I don’t understand how anyone can read that comment and think he’s comparing CLB to Views lol

pick 1
Drake haters a miserable bunch who look for every opportunity to project the unhappiness in their lives on to others disguised as an opinion. Seeking to make others unhappy like you are with your life. I see right through that crap. It's not even constructive criticism.

he's anticipating CLB hate...
interesting, this might be real bad or real good.
VIEWS biggest problem was that it came after IYRTITL
CLB's biggest advantage is that it's coming after Scorpion
No way these are words of comfort
He still has time to give this album the scorpion treatment. Start from scratch a week before the album due. Be mad about some beef he lost before the album drop and make a mid album
Actually, I’d f*** with a Views type project if he cut all the filler and made it 13 tracks
I think its evident the plans Drake had to put out a NWTS like album this year changed midway, that's why the songs Drake talked about in the RapRadar interview ended up being on DLDT. The leaks and the Khaled singles not performing that well probaby played a part in this too.
Not around went viral with an unofficial leak, deep pockets and plug both were received well and caused DLDT, the two SoundCloud singles were received well and so was desires.
The khaled singles weren’t that good but lncl is doing pretty well tank

Biggest problem with views is that he put rap songs on there he didn’t try on to appease fans of his rapping
When it could’ve just been pop. Most of the songs on there that are bad are the songs tryna recreate the energy from IYRT like 9. Grave is the best part of 9 that should say something
No way these are words of comfort
If there’s songs like fire and desire and summers interlude and less songs like Grammys and island dance then we good.
I doubt he’s saying CLB will sound like Views in any way lol.
Pretty sure he’s just saying CLB will be hated on when it drops and then people will start appreciating it as time passes, similar to Views.
People forget that TC was also hated on when it first dropped and now it’s regarded as a classic by many.
Just like Scorpion
Drake’s albums are never appreciated until time has past and nostalgia hits
Views and Scorpion still mid to this day fam
I think this is just him saying people are gonna hate on CLB as soon as they press play because it’s cool to do so, but once some years pass itll become like Views and get more & more people admitting they were wrong.
No one changed views on Views b

Scorpion his worst project tbh. The beef didn't allow him to make the album that HE wanted. It was more of a response album.

Agreed

I really hate this narrative because it doesn't make much sense. He didn't even really respond outside of a handful of lines. Why did he have to change his whole album instead of releasing a response track separate from the album? Especially since as a "response album" he hardly responded to anything.
And about Since Way Back, I just love the production and melodies from both Drake and PND on it. Especially that Drake part in the second half of the song
What are you oooOOOOoooOOOOn
that's true i did go back and re-listen. it wasn't as bad as i thought at first. KMT is also a low-lite for me, but Glow is certainly in my top 10 of the project. hearing that on a proper system...
Free Smoke, the Passionfruit/Jorja Interlude/Get It Together suite, Sacrifices, Do Not Disturb, Lose You and Can't Have Everything are probably my favorite songs from the project overall.
