Even without @516ix mentioning that, Drake said on Chubb's birthday a few days ago "wait till that other s*** come around" and put a laughing emoji beside it. It spells confidence to me. 99.99% he's talking about something beef related and he's that confident to laugh about it and be not worried this whole time that when that s*** comes around then its up.. so we gotta see what happens. I trust him to have at least another ace tucked away. He always does.
that boi was confident after taylor made freestyle too - he just be excited about things and then they fizzle out
Just how confident he has moved this whole beef. I always felt like he had something else.
if he had something else he should/would have dropped it by now

It was said around mid May or so, that it wasn’t dead. Only the timeline shifted
from my hungover liver then straight to my bones
Only one who will benefit from first week numbers is Kendrick, even if Drake did 300k+ they’d say oh he always does that tho…
If he does 100k they’d say he’s washed.
Kendrick is 100% gonna have big numbers on this album prob
I agree with you. The hysteria around Kendrick right now will probably lead to at least 700K+ units being moved first week. For a rap album that's pretty insane. If he puts NLU (remix or something) then it might go up even more. It's not a big reach either b/c Mr.Morales did 295K first week and that's probably the weakest album he's put out b/c (although receiving critical acclaim) the album was a snooze fest. So if he can do ~300K units off that album, with all eyes on him, I'm expecting double. He's definitely going to mention Drake a few times across the entire album. He probably realized this is his moment and he is reworking his album to add new stuff to it.
Drake on the other hand, FATD did 402K and it was with what? maybe 1 week heads up? but its our boy and he's going to probably do the same amount of units moved + some since the anticipation for this album is already sky high. I'm expecting 500K-600K. The problem is Drake is fighting bots. Family Matters is the best song yet it has 30 something million views on YT while NLU is gaining 2 million each passing day. Bots or no bots.. that's not good. Like you said, Drake's album could be 100% way way way way better than Kendrick's but Dot's first week sales might be a lot larger just off sheer hysteria, bot plays, momentum, and dirty play.

700K units, first week, and Kendrick Lamar should never be used in the same sentence

If I remember correctly AK said he was going to drop something but then the shooting. Apparently Drake said he's going to approach this beef differently. But that could mean anything.
Idk man just so questions and for a beef that's been brewing for a decade and to end like this just feels wrong. Way too many serious accusations from both sides to just be dropped. Drake is still dissing on IG and Kendrick still has his MV. Both these guys have way too big of egos to just let it go.

the only thing that keeps me hopeful are Drake's IG stories. It does seem like he has something in the tuck.
Way too many references to the beef.

You're severly underestimating the hysteria around him and the amount of attention he's getting and has gotten. Open your eyes a bit. 700K is possible considering Mr Morales did 300K and that s*** was pure ass. Bots or no bots, he puts songs out on Twitter with zero captions no nothing and he's killing our boy in the numbers game - as far as these diss tracks are considered. I have no clue what abstract / direction the album he had was pre-beef, but looking at the madness his 'fans' love and the world loves, Dot is definitely reworking songs and adding new stuff to make it far more commercial this time.
Drake filmed something in Houston and I'm assuming its beef related. If its not beef related then he would've dropped it by now, seems like he's been keeping it close to vest. Everytime we hear Dot is about to drop the video, rumblings follow Drake dropping a video but then when Dot doesn't then Drake retreats in a way. I think 100% they're going music video for music video. But I got no clue if they'd go album for album cause now we got to consider economic impact, label sign-offs, roll outs, first week numbers.. lot of stuff in play for albums to be dropped by two guys of their magnitude. Drake's shown he can do it. Kendrick hasn't but I guess we about to find out very soon. I'm going to take @516ix 's word and put some serious creditability into 'the next move is going to be ridiculous' (that's what he said) so we'll see.
It is interesting how he hasn’t dropped that video yet. @516ix is the Houston music video beef related?
@THEHOLYGHOST we miss you

Yeah they are both poking the bear but in their own way.
God damn do I love hip-hop tho. Even with the 20v1 against all the Kenny meat munchers this s*** has been fun.

MMTBS did 300K first week off MASSIVE hype. Kendrick was coming off a 5 year hiatus. I would say with the hysteria right now he’s on pace to sell 450K first week. You’re severely underestimating the changes they made to count streams as sales.

I fully agree yo. If Drake really meant summer vibes he would've just went on a feature run or his own music. Everything has been a troll. Deliah song with Snowd4y was a troll - reference to Deliah all my ice + accents. Sexy Redd was a troll. These Camilla joints were already pre-recorded yet the one song he ADDED after the beef "Uuugly" he talks about don't make me pull out these credit card statements AND he sent her (CC) a note where he said "PS we're not beefing xoxo". Chubb's birthday message was the real kicker b/c there's only ONE thing he could refer to "that s*** come around" and that's THIS beef. Nothing else even makes sense b/c we wouldn't understand whatever else he could've meant other than this beef. He's steady laughing, steady joking around with the one trick pony reference. He told Aks "ima play this my way". That's what Aks said word for word what Drake told him.

Damn, what changes did they make to streaming?

What Tswift do first week? I don't think either are hitting that mark.
