Drop 4-5 songs with 6 minutes full bars and s*** and keep that segment of the audience satisfied.
Dropping a 15 track album with full rap s*** will get boring (not for us drake fans) but the dumbasses that are complaining about this album today.
That’s a good point! I truly think he’s trying to appeal to his whole fanbase on one project. You can hear the reflective songs, the fun songs, the heavy bar songs, etc all in one project which sacrifices cohesiveness for the sake of his diversity.
This is why the project feels all over the place at times, but I’m personally ok with that. Maybe I’ll just never beat the D***rider fan allegations because of that

shaleiroseThere’s definitely a balance to be had, but even with guys like Cole and Kendrick, their “fun” songs nowadays don’t see them reverting to immature lyricism or trying to appease younger audiences.
It feels like on Drake’s “banger” songs nowadays he’s trying way too hard to appeal to Gen Z (and it’s weird having this criticism because I myself am a part of a Gen Z)
Drizzy always been corny like that. That’s his persona.
A drizzy album without some immature/corny bars won’t be a Drizzy album though.

the Away From Home record is the perfect example of what I want. it’s reflective. it’s well written. well produced. and he still got some petty s*** off.
I also just want LESS bullshit. a little bit is fine. but I don’t need 7 songs on one album covering the same petty topics from the last three albums that all just came out. s*** is tiresome.
