2wordsI kind of explained why IKWGL is a different case. And itâs not just that song either itâs just the most egregious. Hov himself when he ranked his albums considered Vol 2 a classic for its impact but said Vol 1 was âalmostâ a classic but he f***ed it up with a couple songs or something like that.
Thereâs nothing on NWTS that comes close to as bad as IKWGL. Iâm not saying classics canât be flawed or have skips or poorly aged tracks, they can and many do. 2001 is a classic and thereâs a bunch of unnecessary s*** on there.
But idk of any classics that have some objectively garbage songs on there as track 3 lol I feel like you took my initial point too literal. Classics can have weaker tracks but the tracks on Vol 1 are beyond just weak, theyâre offensively bad to most people and itâs enough of a problem that the album suffers
We gotta agree to disagree with that but Iâm not mad at your takes at all. I tried multiple times to fw 305 to my City but it just donât do it for me lol

305 grew on me a little bit, believe it or not my least favorite on there is Own It but I can respect how it flows from Wu Tang forever and thereâs some good elements to it like PND background vocals
Was never crazy on 305 but itâs so late in the album compared to IKWGL you know? I think for classic albums itâs important to start strong. And you donât think 305 is worse than ILWGL do you?

ryuHBro RD was not met with widespread acclaim do your homework lil man. The source gave it a 4/5 and they were the main authority on rap reviews in 1996. XXL didnât even exist yet. Most of what you see on Wikipedia is retrospective reviews.
It has widespread acclaim and considered one of the best rap albums of all time NOW but this is the perfect example of what I was talking about
People always look back at s*** with rosĂŠ tinted glasses and downplay the legends that are active now. Itâs human nature.
We can nitpick one critic site all day
NME is a large review site and they gave GKMC a 3/5, we about to act like that album didnât get widespread acclaim now?
