I don't appreciate how no one is even allowed to be critical of anything Drake does here. It's always silly posts about how "Drake keeps feeding us good music and all y'all do is complain." "Y'all are so ungrateful being negative with all the new music Drake gives us."

We all love Drake here so y'all can stop with the bullshit "I'm a better Drake fan than you" nonsense. I've probably supported Drake longer and in more meaningful ways than most people here.

No one is doubting his talent or skill-level but regardless, he has a long history of working till the last minute, which would be fine, if that didn't also mean that since 2018, that constitutes him and his team delivering albums that aren't mixed properly. THAT is unprofessional and there are no excuses for it because he's the one picking all his release dates and then forcing himself to rush to meet them when he could simply give himself and whoever mixes/masters his music enough time to deliver quality mixes to fans. No other artist at his level moves that sloppily but yeah, it's Drake so, no one should ever criticize anything he does musically or career-wise because he's always giving fans new music. I'll never understand that mentality, but whatever.

I feel you and nothing about his behavior even leading up to this would have me think anything has changed. Drake has a lot of life left to live still so I’ve put my hopes on him putting out his best work then and not in the space he’s in currently.

This is something anyone with common sense can recognize and have criticisms about but they'll call you and I ungrateful fans for even mentioning this because we should never criticize anything Drake does because he gives us music all the time.

It's very clear that most of the features on Drake's songs end up there because he gets too lazy to finish them up himself. He's forced to finish them by himself most times when the artist he sends it to doesn't send a verse back in time or they send a wack verse, otherwise, all his biggest hits would have wack features on them. That in itself is another issue but I'll stop right there.

Yeah I’m not sure what changed from 2018 moving forward as far as mixing goes. The auto tune is overwhelming at some points as well. But I think that’s just a stylistic change that we’re going to have to accept. Either way, I agree with you. I think there’s a reasonable line between the trolls that hop in here to bait vs the real criticism. I also think tensions are the way they are itt because of this bait and switch ass roll out lmfao.

I'm not even suggesting he takes 3-5 years off but take at least a year to properly craft an album and give everyone involved enough time to finish it properly and then roll it out the right way (or drop it as a surprise, I don't care) but being this established an artist and still rushing every single time to finish up an album, clearly isn't working anymore because now, you're having to deliver songs with s***ty mixes. Hell, even your features/singles have s***ty mixes now. I just don't get it.

I hope sometime in the future, he realizes there's no sin in slowing down and taking the time to craft his albums properly. He ends up rushing all the time and he's talented so we always get decent albums but him taking his time could be the difference between him delivering good albums or great albums.
