i agree w genuine criticism like this because for a veteran in the game it looks really unprofessional
Right. Iām not blindly following drake. I know heās not perfect, but mfs get itt making it seem like they are having good faith conversations and then at some point s*** just turns to blatant hate and disrespect lol.
Enjoy this week, at the finish line now, what a fun couple of months itās been
Nigga you on Drakeās team?
Everybody involved has sounded super proud of the body of work. Youāre ignoring everything positive and reaching about s*** thatās just normal for drake
Of corse they gonna say itās great you really think they would come out and say anything else
October is usually the worst month of my year and it's still the greatest
You aināt said a truer thing
No one who gets the chance to listen to a Drake song/album beforehand will ever say anything negative about it and I know Drake is talented enough to never drop a trash album.
I just don't want another CLB situation where he adds too many unnecessary
features because he couldn't finish up the songs himself and the songs don't end up being properly mixed at the time of release and have to be mixed yet again at a later date, etc.
Voicing those concerns, which are legitimate concerns where Drake is mentioned, isn't me or anyone else being negative. We've seen him move this way in the past and simply don't want a repeat of the same thing again.
CLB couldāve done without all those features, not sure why he did so many.
Plenty of those wouldāve been fine without.
Ngl, rollout talk and sales talk are the worst possible conversations
Love your lives and enjoy the music
literally see people hate on hnvm and justify it by the numbers it did but they fail to realise it was a surprise release completely out of his regular field.
wish mfs would just judge by their ears instead of some numbers in front of them.
Yeah, the mixing bs has to stop. The song that gets released really needs to be the final version⦠itās becoming a bad/sloppy look.
I don't appreciate how no one is even allowed to be critical of anything Drake does here. It's always silly posts about how "Drake keeps feeding us good music and all y'all do is complain." "Y'all are so ungrateful being negative with all the new music Drake gives us."
We all love Drake here so y'all can stop with the bullshit "I'm a better Drake fan than you" nonsense. I've probably supported Drake longer and in more meaningful ways than most people here.
No one is doubting his talent or skill-level but regardless, he has a long history of working till the last minute, which would be fine, if that didn't also mean that since 2018, that constitutes him and his team delivering albums that aren't mixed properly. THAT is unprofessional and there are no excuses for it because he's the one picking all his release dates and then forcing himself to rush to meet them when he could simply give himself and whoever mixes/masters his music enough time to deliver quality mixes to fans. No other artist at his level moves that sloppily but yeah, it's Drake so, no one should ever criticize anything he does musically or career-wise because he's always giving fans new music. I'll never understand that mentality, but whatever.
I've gotta listen to the album first but nothing I've heard about this album has me excited or hopeful. Seems like a rushed project on Drake's end, which is confusing considering how much time he's had to work on it. I hope whatever ends up being released is somewhat well put together.
I feel you and nothing about his behavior even leading up to this would have me think anything has changed. Drake has a lot of life left to live still so Iāve put my hopes on him putting out his best work then and not in the space heās in currently.

This gotta be the least hopeful ive ever been for a drake album

This is something anyone with common sense can recognize and have criticisms about but they'll call you and I ungrateful fans for even mentioning this because we should never criticize anything Drake does because he gives us music all the time.
It's very clear that most of the features on Drake's songs end up there because he gets too lazy to finish them up himself. He's forced to finish them by himself most times when the artist he sends it to doesn't send a verse back in time or they send a wack verse, otherwise, all his biggest hits would have wack features on them. That in itself is another issue but I'll stop right there.
Drake gotta tell Yachty and Cole to shutup ever thing they saying bout the album is not good promo at all šš
For real. Cole saying he picked the finished song for the music video was insane
Yachty said he didnt understand how the songs would work as an album until Drake explained it to him

Yeah Iām not sure what changed from 2018 moving forward as far as mixing goes. The auto tune is overwhelming at some points as well. But I think thatās just a stylistic change that weāre going to have to accept. Either way, I agree with you. I think thereās a reasonable line between the trolls that hop in here to bait vs the real criticism. I also think tensions are the way they are itt because of this bait and switch ass roll out lmfao.
Drake gotta stop drinking every show too. What happened to him saying he cant be under the influence on stage during TC/nwts era?
This gotta be the least hopeful ive ever been for a drake album
Really?!? Interesting.

I'll never doubt his ability but he seems to somehow think his career will end if he doesn't drop music and that's ridiculous. We're not going anywhere.
I'm not even suggesting he takes 3-5 years off but take at least a year to properly craft an album and give everyone involved enough time to finish it properly and then roll it out the right way (or drop it as a surprise, I don't care) but being this established an artist and still rushing every single time to finish up an album, clearly isn't working anymore because now, you're having to deliver songs with s***ty mixes. Hell, even your features/singles have s***ty mixes now. I just don't get it.
I hope sometime in the future, he realizes there's no sin in slowing down and taking the time to craft his albums properly. He ends up rushing all the time and he's talented so we always get decent albums but him taking his time could be the difference between him delivering good albums or great albums.

Yachty said he didnt understand how the songs would work as an album until Drake explained it to him
This is all I was tryna point out earlier and I got called a drake hater by pointing out the obvious red flags this rollout has . Even Budden said everything Yachty said makes him scared about this album and I agree.

Idk if you went to the shows or not, but, to be fair, when I went, it definitely did not seem like this man was ever drunk/drinking on stage.
But then I guess the counter to that is idk what is worse drinking on stage, or acting like youāre drinking on stage but itās really water.

Features have nothing to do with the unfinished convo. Which of those features are confirmed to have been rushed late additions ?
The last minute tracks/ verses with drake normally heat
Really?!? Interesting.
Just not getting my hopes up. If its good, ill be happy but i love hnvm and her loss so much still so maybe im just fed enough currently

Glad you can at least understand where I'm coming from.

Oh nah i live in europe so waiting for that announcement but every clip I see hes drinking and making the audience sing instead of performing himself so that had me worried
