I also didn’t say it was a rollout, people want trailers, promo, interviews, etc. but then get mad if he says anything about an album before the day he plans to drop it.

This rollout was fun in my opinion. It was frustrating that it seemed like he wasn’t keeping his word at first but I think there was truly some stuff that happened unexpectedly (maybe 40 not feeling well?) that locked him into giving updates because he had already started talking before that happened… it was probably so close to being done when whatever happened, happened, and it just didn’t get done when he thought it would. Oh well.. can’t believe we are already in for another classic

I promise this thread has created an echo chamber & people are confusing real life with what’s going on in here. If you were following along since June, I understand why you’re frustrated. Most of us were. But the average fan does not care about anything said at the shows.

Drake should be moving a lot more coordinated for a drop, but it is what it is. Album next week.

Stop taking everything he says at his shows as complete fact, every performer says the current city is the best crowd they have ever seen, no one should take a statement while preforming as confirmed fact.

But this is what the complaints are really about. Can you imagine any other artist as big as Drake is moving this sloppily? What's wrong with finishing an album and then releasing it? It's especially weird because he knew to do that for DLDT, Honestly, Nevermind and Her Loss but somehow lost his common sense with this album. Even Views wasn't rolled out this annoyingly. He announced it and then shut up to finish working on it.

I really hope he doesn't ever release an album doing wack s*** like this because it's just stupid and unnecessary.

I would imagine being on tour all summer has made things incredibly difficult for him to finish the album & shoot videos & load up some promo for next week. Things change. We agree that he should have a better plan, but it’s hard to be mad at someone who delivers so often for the fans.

It's how unnecessary the lying is that's annoying lol. He could have easily announced that he'll be dropping an album before the end of the year/end of his tour or even end of the summer and then never spoke about the album again till it was ready to go. Instead, he created anticipation and then acted like fans were wrong for anticipating the album when they were only going off the lies he was spewing every night.

No, if you want to do a traditional rollout. Drop 1 single. Then another. Then another. Then the album. Don't go on stage every night talking about an album no one but you had heard and lying about when it'll drop and call that a rollout.
