Taylor is several times larger than drake and would have occupied the top 10 regardless of what was out at the time
Taylorâs obviously bigger but that ainât true. If you put midnights on the same week CLB came out it wouldnât have occupied the whole top 10. CLB objectively was a bigger album bomb streaming wise. Charts are all about timing
And remind me which one of these albums became the first to ever occupy the entire Top 10 on the Hot 100?
Tbf Taylor and Drake are two of some of the only artists who could do this on paper to start with. But itâs determined by chart points overall as well. CLB was one song away from doing it, blocked by one of the biggest songs of the decade still on its commercial run. Midnights did it during a notably low chart point week
Year old thread + papis pets donât have jobs so they just sit in here
âFeet Loverâ
Nigga is ignorant and doubling down with the stupidity because he'd rather do that than admit to being wrong. For his sake, I hope For All the Dogs doesn't occupy the entire top 10 because lmao.
You seem like you believe it to be a foregone conclusion that it will occupy the entire Top 10, so place a one week ban bet on it then
Exactly. This is the only reason why Iâm saying it wonât happen. If Doja wasnât dropping, Drake probably pulls it off.
I highly doubt Paint the Town Red is going to freefall from #1 to out the Top 10 the same week her album releases
Yeah I usually disagree with you but youâre most likely right on this one lol
Drake been lowkey these past few days. Most likely still isn't done recording songs for the album.
Y'all do know that PTTR currently has less than 240 chart points right? It has also peaked on streaming in the US. It's moving between 1.8-2.1M daily US streams on Spotify. It still hasn't ever reached #1 on US Apple Music and its radio gains are very minimal. Doja can't even pull the multiple versions card because she's done that already. The song will get a streaming boost the week her album drops, yes, but it'll be minimal because it has already peaked in streaming.
Do you guys think I just come on here to say s*** without doing my research first? Lmao.

How many streams are you expecting Fat D to do? Also how much of a boost are you expecting from PTTR when she drops the album? Ultimately that is what it comes down to. Itâll be close enough I think where it could go either way
Anyways, let me shut up. I hope I end up being proven wrong.
Nah donât hide your hand now, place a one week ban on it

How do either of those things correlate?
I'm assuming FATD will do around 450-500K first week as things stand (no single or physicals)

600-800M US streams, depending on the number of songs. PTTR won't get a massive boost because it's already peaked in streaming in the US. It did 28M US streams last week when it rose to #1. That's how weak the charts are right now.

Oh wow I didnât know exactly how low the charts were rn

The #1 song right now in the US has 237 points. When CLB dropped, the #14 song off the album had 241 points.
If For All the Dogs is anywhere near as dominant on streaming as Certified Lover Boy was, Drake will own the entire top 10 when the album debuts on the Hot 100.

Been knowing about CLB but yeah I could actually see it with fatd knowing how strong itâll be streaming wise and now knowing how wildly weak the hot 100 is rn lol
And for reference to the whole thread, a healthy chart typically has the top ten well above 300 points
@snowchild lana on this album?

The only reason why I even suggested that it could pull it off is BECAUSE the charts are weak. PTTR is gaining points weekly but it's happening slowly because it's only gaining on radio. It has peaked on streaming/sales. Even with a boost in streaming the week her album drops, I don't see PTTR being at 350 points that week.
Plus, I feel like For All the Dogs might break the US streaming record if it connects with enough people and has enough songs. We'll see what ends up happening, though.
