He dropped IYRTITL in February 2015, dropped WATTBA 7 months after that in September 2015 and dropped Views 7 months after that in April 2016. The narrative of Drake's entire career is one of dominance and consistency:
2006: Room for Improvement
2007: Comeback Season
2009: So Far Gone
2010: Thank Me Later
2011: Take Care
2013: Nothing Was the Same
2015: IYRTITL
2015: WATTBA
2016: Views
2017: More Life
2018: Scorpion
2019: Care Package
2020: DLDT
2021: CLB
2022: Honestly, Nevermind
2022: Her Loss
crazy how even with the care package that 2018-2020 gap felt so long at the time
what a f***ing run man
and 2012 + 2014 was peak Drake Featuring Drake feature era
Yep. I'd argue every year since '09, there have been some insane Drake features.

one of the best discogs ever idc what any nerd says
That was his only surprise release before 2020 so saying âheâs been doing it sinceâ then is kind of false
WATTBA was only announced a day ahead of time officially
Even tho rumors were rampant for a while

16 full-length projects in 16 years is an insane work ethic. And that's not counting all the EPs, leaks, remixes, loosies, features, etc. Dude toured every year from 2008 when he met Wayne to 2019 (with the exception of 2011). Would have most likely continued the run if the pandemic didn't happen. Crazy workaholic.

I think he has the strongest discography of any mainstream rapper in history across all his albums, mixtapes, features, remixes, loosies, etc. Hands down. Once you start to breakdown all he's done, there's no need to even question it lol. He's done A LOT in the 16 years since Room for Improvement.

Yeah, a surprise release is anything that drops that the artist themselves never officially announced until moments before dropping, even if there are rumors about an impending release.
For instance, before Beyonce's self-titled album dropped in 2013, it was an open secret she has an album coming. Drake had spoken about writing for her album earlier that year and a couple of other songwriters/producers had done the same but people were expecting it to be an album with a full rollout, not a surprise-release and they were expecting it to drop in 2014 when 2013 was damn near over with no word on the album. It eventually dropped December 2013 and boom, surprise, especially considering the fact that every song had a music video.

100%.
100%.
Yâall really believe he has the strongest discography of any mainstream rapper in history? You could make the case for TC - IYRTITL being an amazing three peat but considering that run from WATTBA - CLB like come on lol I get that yâall are stans but how can you really believe his is one of the strongest out there?
it would feel weird if drake dropped another full length project before 21 ngl

You didnt mention like 200 absolutely incredible feats, loosies and leaks.
And Her Loss and HNVM are up there with the albums you mentioned.
am I the only one who listens to Honestly Nevermind more than CLB?
I haven't listened to CLB front-to-back since it dropped. I just finished playing through HNVM a couple minutes ago.
There's levels ...

Drake has the best catalog of songs
Not albums though Hov got him beat.
Whoever sequences drake albums kind of sold drake short, (Iâm gonna use Oliver as the scapegoat), made almost every album worse than it shouldâve been, even TC and NWTS should have better tracklists. Take Care would be the best album of all time with a few edits but as classic as it is, not many people are running that without skipping something
It looks like something finally changed for HNVM and HL which are tight and strong front to back, I hope that trend continues

He has iconic songs, verses, feats, and singles but his album work is filled with a lot of flaws and filler. Even the albums you listed, which I fw, have flaws in them that make those albums solid 7s imo.
Tonight

Ppl will say his later albums arenât that good, but if you just look at songs, there literally is no rapper w more good songs than Drake

Not just hov but (I know Iâll get killed for saying some of these but):
Kanye
Tribe
OutKast
Ghostface
Kendrick
Tyler
Lupe
All have better discographies than he does.

Yeah if weâre talking songs itâs obvious. Albums is where it gets a little shaky

yeah i disagree with nwts. i dont believe that album could be any better with a different tracklist
i agree on best catalog of songs, def not best album discog

I would specify the difference between an album discography and like a catalog of songs though tbf
I get the argument that someone like Tylerâs albums are âless flawedâ but itâs really tough to say his body of work as a whole is better than drakeâs when if we look at it as songs rather than albums, it would skew heavily towards drake with him having way more classic songs
Also Iâm a Lupe stan but I ainât giving him that, his fall off was pretty significant I donât think he belongs in the same breath as Ye Tribe and Kast
