Her Loss was not a bar-heavy type of rap album though. At least not to me, except for Middle of The Ocean. It still had a bit of the softer songs as well. A typical Drake-album imo.

Her Loss was like 90% a Drake rap album with a bunch of 21 rap features. He needs a balanced TC/NWTS-like album that hits a lot of emotional notes but also includes some rap anthems

Yeah.... who knows what he's got planned with 'Old Drake' in mind. A lot of people have a deeper emotional connection to some of his more heartfelt earlier songs, maybe he thinks he can recapture that energy

TBH, I could see him announcing just like HNVM.. out of no where to deflect people from ruining the surprise. Part of me thinks he’s making this confusing on purpose so no one can accurately predict his moves or see it coming. Because if I think about it any other way.. this whole thing doesn’t make sense lol.

I would still be happy just to get some new music. I will probably like it. He has probably never missed for me as a fan.

I'm one of the few people who thinks CLB is the best of his last three albums (I actually think it's probably his best project since More Life), so when I say that I have the same feeling I had before that album that he's going to drop some of his best work, my expectations were fulfilled then and I expect them to be again.

To me "old Drake" isn't about a sound but about the structure and variety of the stereotypical Drake album. Bangers, tearjerkers, bars, R&B s***. Something for everybody. I expect we're all about to get fed.

I don't care for any of the hype tactics he's on right now tbh. I just want the album, whenever he's ready to release it.
