I don’t understand why it can’t just be “WLR is the most influential rap album of the decade”

That’s a valid and reasonable claim to make

Chronically online people that don’t understand their niche doesn’t fully translate to the real world

Exactly, he doesn’t understand that context matters.

The only reason why sales and charts can’t be used to prove Faneto’s popularity is because it released in 2014 as a free mixtape exclusive; it was literally impossible for it to chart at the time

  • Free YoungBoy

Yeah it’s no way you think Donda was bigger than WLR. Especially now years later. Like be fr

Well ackchewally according to my a***ysis it was an impossibility for Faneto by Chief Keef to chart at the time as billboard success was incongruent with the songs release format 🤓

wouldn’t bother. the only people that think WLR is bigger than Donda in any capacity are people that live on the internet. and it’s a small part of the internet at that lol

    like literally man lol

DONDA had my niggas who aren’t even into music hitting me up about that album everyone was watching what Kanye was doing that year, CLB was ridiculously anticipated too

all the hype and gassing for WLR was primarily contained to the internet, there’s nothing wrong w/ that but bro is not that big

im in clubs, bars, parties frequently the last few years. can tell you right now that Donda and CLB records were played way more than any record from WLR. even heard Donda played at weddings. only times i heard WLR is when i played it around my friends. there’s songs off of WLR i played last year around certain people who didnt even know the song nor album existed

"No, I'm more outside than you are"

Idk what that means but, cmoon.. it's a shame to think that nonsense like Carti have a chance to even be close to #1 spot..
That means that your music taste is below zero

means ur an old washed up uncle and its a tired old head argument just shows your not in touch with music, the time where your opinion would have relevance has passed

respectfully he’s not selling 200k, even with the hype. that’s lil baby territory and there’s nothing suggesting he’s risen in the ranks commercially. if im wrong ill take my L

there is plenty showing he rose in the ranks commercially, FEIN was a hit cause of carti song of the summer, he dropped a song on youtube and it hit 20 million with barely any promotion, hes promoting an album on IG stories and its the most anticipated biggest thing in music right now. 200k+? Its very possible, considering what utopia sold, but if not thats fine because hes still the biggest guy rn

this thing about wlr isnt true by the way. I see it even more irl, im in uni rn and not even in an american city people literally play carti and walk up like "u heard that new carti" i havent met a single person in my age group who doesnt know who he is or whats happening. Respectfully, it sounds like someone whos not outside telling others what happens outside. Unless your like an older guy in which case yeah obviouslt you dont hear about carti lol
