If you constantly go by what Drake said he should be your GOAT no? He constantly proclaims himself to be the GOAT in his music

Why? You clearly have a knack for accepting things at face value with no ability to distinguish statements at all, what makes this different? How are you even able to tell?

Someone being the GOAT of something is purely subjective. Every rapper says they are the GOAT of rap.

On the other hand, someone’s music being relatable or not is entirely quantifiable by listening to the themes and the topics they talk about on a regular basis. Drake himself has said for years that the topics he speaks about directly correlate to where he is in his life at the moment. Therefore, when he says “I’m getting so rich my music’s not even relatable”, it’s quantifiable by examining his recent music and examining how often he is now talking about topics that the average everyday person has never experienced in their entire lives.

Does this mean every single song he makes now isn’t relatable? No, of course not. But in general, most of the music he has made in the past 5 years or so is not relatable whatsoever.

Drake fans confuse living vicariously though his music for it being relatable to their actual lives

That’s a very simple understanding of emotions and connection to art

if I listen to Ye’s “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” I’m connecting to the emotions and feelings of accomplishment and confidence without having the literal experience of being a pop star rapper, and that doesn’t diminish the emotional response I feel

It’s the same with Drake, most of the time I disagree with the things he says and wouldn’t do it in my life but I sing along passionately completely sincerely

Almost 2026 and they’re still arguing Drake vs Kendrick while not joking around

By this definition, all music is relatable because every artist can be boiled down to a simple human emotion

You clearly are. You hate a very odd and weird hate boner for people who seem to enjoy Drake's music and I'll never understand it.

You have to find ways to twist it or diminish the fact that they simply enjoy listening to dude. It has to be some stupid excuse as to why they enjoy his music and you have to s*** on them or s*** on Drake's music in the process.

It's just really weird, man. You shouldn't care this much about the man but whatever, I guess.

    You described subjectivity…

The subjectivity in it for me is that sometimes I listen to music that expresses what I think but it’s emotionally not resonant with me (because art is magic not science)

It’s why we can watch a movie with characters that do bad things and feel emotions beyond just disapproval

We don’t need to be so black and white about things

And btw you made a thread for stalking a literal toddler. I’m fine with being weird to you if that’s what you consider normal behavior
