Iceman (as an album) will be fine, all Drake albums (besides HNVM) have had strong longevity.
The other 2 will probably not but thats expected
Feel like one of the songs from MOH will be sleeper hit

This is the first “Drake studio album” he’s dropped though that’s exclusively rap music. His only other two projects that were exclusively rap (IYRTITL & Her Loss) didn’t stick around on the charts as long as his genre-diverse projects

My hot take is IYRTITL is overrated and lacks replay value but thats a discussion for a different day
Iceman will rocc tho

IYRTITL is extremely replayable

Lack of replay value is why it isnt charting
Which of these are actually gonn be in the top 10 after 1 week
I can see 2 hard 4 the radio hovering around t10 depending on how well it does on the radio

That one the ONE they need to recognize
Lack of replay value is why it isnt charting
No, it’s not charting because it’s not a very pop-leaning project, it’s straight rap. Which is why I think ICEMAN will have a similar chart-life

The chart has 200 positions and cuts off around 8-10K a week
if the replay value was there itd be charting "pop-leaning" or not. It is just a mixtape though
But dont worry, Iceman got it
I dont see it having Take Care level longevity tho thats just out of this world
But on pace with FATD forsure

Pure rap albums never stick around for a long time on the BB 200 unless they’re pop-leaning or heavily melodic

Sounds like they just lack replay value

Has nothing to do with replay value. We’re talking about the Billboard 200, a chart that, 99% of the time, is 75% pop albums

Its a chart that shows the top 200 most consumed albums weekly
The genre is irrelevant. If it was being replayed like you claim you would see it on the chart.
Relative to More Life (another Drake mixtape, good comparator), IYRTITL doesnt have the replay value as shown by the lack of consistent charting
Oh and my comments about IYRTITL are relative to Drake's discog, not hip-hop as a whole
Most rappers dont have a project as good as it lol

And pop music is the music that is consumed longterm most regularly. What are you even saying?
Anyone who knows anything about the BB 200 knows that most of the album on their are pop records or very commercially-friendly records

What im saying is IYRTITL replay value (or lack there of) is visible on the BB200. The chart is an albums chart not specifically "Pop" music. If it was getting replayed it would be charting on and off atleast.

Genre still plays a factor. There are genres that naturally get consumed more than others in the US. IYRTITL is a pure rap project, and pure rap projects never stick around for a long time on the BB200 unless they are pop-leaning or commercially friendly
B-b-but look he’s got the streams… lmao dude dropped three trash albums and they’re not doing as well as first predicted. Spotify had to walk back their lies about records, and the fall off from release date to next date streams has continued to be sad. Not to mention MJ beat him with Billy Jean returning, and the music on all three albums is universally being clowned. Drake fans keep losing
Bait used to be good

Consumed more because better replay value
I understand IYRTITL is a mixtape and it wont have the same charting success as an album. But it not even hopping on and off the chart shows the replay value isnt there compared to similar projects (More Life) - "pop leaning" or not

Because More Life isn't a straight rap record what are you not understanding

What im saying is regardless of genre, if the replay value is there it will chart. Im not saying chart #1 or even top 100 but atleast somewhere on the charts where its measurable.
HNVM has horrible replay value and it is more "pop leaning" than Drake albums that are consistently on the charts.
