Well, that's not true and you know it lol. A lot of things we discuss objectively can be skewed, manipulated and twisted to look more favorable but we discuss them under those terms anyways.

I don't believe I've ever viewed something being successful as a direct measure of its quality — only as a direct measure of the interest in said thing, especially if it's something that has endured over a long period of time, because many people supporting something for a long time is something those people must see value in, even if you don't see it yourself.
