When that Bella Harris s*** happened, I heard a random radio station in my country talk about it. Years before the beefI don't completely disagree with your post, but there's the usual falsifying and misrepresentations you do to defend Drake. But yeah, let's see how it plays out
They are ''small stories'' in terms of how well-known they were by the general public. Hip hop fans knew about some of the stories but the song and UMG's involvement in pushing and promoting it have caused him to be seen as a pdf by a large amount of the general public (according to the lawsuit). It's that simple. Those stories didn't affect his overall reputation in the past while the song and UMG's involvement in promoting those slanderous lies have caused huge financial damage and social damage.

No, his team is incompetent when it comes to physical releases. The last 7 years every time he’s tried to do physicals it’s been a s*** show.
And UMG can easily have dirt on him showing that they’ve used manipulation and/or other nefarious methods to fabricate his streaming numbers. Idk why y’all act like streams can’t be faked or heavily manipulated

Drake’s team is still in the process of discovery, their claims of manipulation right now are based around social media comments.
UMG would already know any dirt they have on Drake and be waiting for a trial to reveal it

I don't disagree that a lot of the general public didn't know about it before the beef, but it was bigger than you're making it out to be. Big enough for Drake to mention on a diss track pre-emptively. If so few people knew about it, he shone the spotlight on it first. I know what you're about to say - "It wasn't on streaming, AI song" but this was after Like That, after Pushups, so people were invested in the beef and were waiting with baited breath for anything Kendrick/Drake related
We'll see how it plays out, but I don't think he's got a strong claim for defamation

Again, could you not say the same about drake? Drake could have immaterial knowledge about things UMG have done and looking for material proof now.
Not trying to defend drake, I think the lawsuit is a bit silly and wish we'd just move on, but I think its unfair to give UMG the benefit of the doubt and then s*** on anything Drake does.
