The dude who signed a direct $400M contract with the same company 3 years later wasn’t involved in a significant business move for them where he was at the forefront as they moved away from exclusives
like do you see the hoops you gotta jump through as opposed to just admitting you wrong lmfao
"Significant business move" = plastering his face everywhere on Spotify? Do you hear yourself lmao.
That "significant business move" backfired and anyone with sense could have seen that coming a mile away. Drake had never done anything like that before and he didn't need to. Scorpion had all the hype in the world. That was Spotify doing all it could to take advantage of the biggest artist on their platform dropping an album. They used to use his albums to try to gain subscribers and get people to sign up and listen to the album. That's all that was for.
“Without his approval “.
Yeah I’m sure Mr numbers would have been outraged
There you go again making silly assumptions
Yes, I can assume that because he has a LONG history of never resorting to such weird promotional tactics to boost his music. Never used bundles. Never used radio deals. I can make that assumption in good faith.
You bringing up they wives for what? Thats like me bringing up your wife…I gain nothing from it. Stupid ass
Nigga went to sleep in gimmick and woke up still in gimmick. Never had a genuine interaction with this dude
You still haven't said how I attacked them
Reading comprehension is vital for our growing young generation
Nah just a new Mario kart

Honestly coudn't tell for a sec if it was new
but I see Seth Rogen DK from the movie
Now you're making things up. The very article you posted stated they weren't sure if the labels approved it or not, that's why they used the term "seemingly." And all the promotional effort did was plaster Drake's face across multiple playlists and all over Spotify. That's it. People immediately complained because any promotional effort that's that OD is never received well. And nothing like that was done for his next album, which shattered Scorpion's Spotify record, so, what's the issue? You just wanna b**** and moan about something, acting like Drake ever NEEDED that weird promo tactic from Spotify when he's been dominating the streaming era from day 1 without anything like that but whatever helps you get through the day, I guess
Nah I’ll stick to the facts, since ya’ll like that so much
The campaign was intended to be a quirky celebration of Spotify’s top streaming artist, helping him to break the one-week U.S. streaming record in only three days and putting him on pace to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart
From billboard, this article is dated AFTER your tweer
Spotify declined to comment, but sources tell Billboard the complaints have been relatively minimal and no refund policy has been put in place.
From billboard
Scorpion’s arrival on the chart coincides with the list’s first week of employing an updated weighting formula for on-demand audio streams, giving greater emphasis to paid subscription streams. Through the July 7-dated chart, one SEA unit equaled 1,500 on-demand audio streams across all streaming services that contributed to the chart. From July 14-onward — on the Billboard 200 and all other album consumption charts — one SEA unit will equal 1,250 paid subscription audio streams
From Billboard. Another thing Drake benefitted from where they shifted their business models as he moved

None of the things you just posted confirms that Drake or his label were in on the weird promotional tactic but thanks, I guess.
I guess only Drake benefitted from it then. You look stupid lmao.

Because you choose to ignore my quote from variety and instead get picky with wording when Variety is an official source quoted by music business worldwide on this matter who are good at fact checking

I'm not ignoring anything. I even apologized for thinking the campaign was stopped after a few hours and posted the tweet I recalled from SEVEN years ago, posted by Spotify on the 30th of June, which made me think so.
The only thing I'm saying is that nowhere in the article you posted did it state that Drake's label was in on it. The article makes sure to use the word "seemingly" just to be safe and yet here you come saying this:
It was literally a deal well established and spread to official sources with Cash Money/Young Money and Spotify and UMG
Where did you confirm this? What's your source?
Do some of y'all got jobs or is this it
Spending free days discussing rap beef with the grope divine on ktt2 is my life!

From HDD, your favorite source
Speaking of Spotify, they're working in conjunction with Republic, Cash Money and Young Money Records on its first-ever global dedicated artist takeover, dubbed “ScorpionSZN” in honor of Scorpion. It is the first time a single artist has taken over multiple Spotify playlists on the same day.
Ovo Love and basketball
They be nothing but overconfident
