I didn’t make it up, I got it from an official source Variety
The labels involved (Republic, Cash Money and Young Money) seemingly have launched a full-scale campaign to break as many streaming records as possible, something that the album’s length makes a lot more likely than, say a seven-track album. In an unexpected move, given Drake’s long history with Apple Music, they’ve also gone big with Spotify, teaming up with the service for its first-ever global dedicated artist takeover, called “ScorpionSZN,” whereby Drake takes over multiple playlists on the same day. The MC is on the cover of RapCaviar, Beast Mode, Today’s Top Hits, Morning Commute and others — including ones where his music isn’t even featured.
To think Drake wasn’t well aware this was happening is just ignorance
"seemingly." It was all Spotify's doing, considering the fact that they took it down not long after people started complaining. The article even states how surprising a move it is, considering the fact that until that point, the streaming platform Drake's label had the best relationship with was Apple Music and they never did anything like that with them.
You're ignorant for thinking Drake would have approved any wack s*** like that when he's never needed that kinda s*** to put up massive numbers lol. He broke streaming records with CLB and never had to resort to that.
This is the same dude who has never used bundles, done radio deals or resorted to any of the other smoke and mirror tactics other major label acts resort to to gain success.
I've had Red Button on repeat for the past 8 months.
"Every time you need me for a boost, I never hesitated
Every time that Yeezy called a truce, he had my head inflated
Thinkin' we gon' finally peace it up and get to levitatin'
Realize that everything premeditated
Everyone was good with me, then everyone expression faded
Tickin' time bomb and they beggin' me to detonate it"
^^
What this shows is that even if you know people who you love and respect are snakes, it doesn't make it any less painful.
Went through that with both Derozan and Lebron.
Either way, take care is the album most people think of when they think of Drake

Everything about that song is perfect to me. Definitely one of his best rap songs ever.
Nothing like that happened with CLB and he broke Scorpion's Spotify record. He never needed that s***. That was all Spotify's doing. And when people complained, they took it down hours later so it never did anything for him, seeing as most of the playlists with his face on them didn't even have any Drake songs.
They didn’t take it down hours later, see YOU ARE MAKING UP S***
here is an article from 3 DAYS AFTER the album dropped and people were still complaining

People screaming about the "the culture" as if said culture and the industry at large wasn't protecting Diddy and those above him all these years. None of these rappers are righteous and the industry isn't clean, plenty skeletons and bodies everywhere. Lets see what ends up getting exposed cos if things heat up we'll start seeing a lot of people that are celebrating and laughing turning on each other.

My bad. I know they eventually took it down, though. I remembered this tweet when I made my post.
That tweet was a response to people complaining and I thought they took it down soon after.
Either way, most of the playlists that had his face as the cover didn't have any of his songs so it was something he never needed, is my point.
And very likely something that was done without his approval.

It was literally a deal well established and spread to official sources with Cash Money/Young Money and Spotify and UMG
To think Drake, the “CEO of Universal” just sat by idly waiting on a text like “hey bro, so we went ahead and put your face on every Spotify playlist for promo. Thanks for signing your likeness 😇” is just straight ignorance come on greatdivine, even you gotta admit that lmao

The dude who signed a direct $400M contract with the same company 3 years later wasn’t involved in a significant business move for them where he was at the forefront as they moved away from exclusives
like do you see the hoops you gotta jump through as opposed to just admitting you wrong lmfao

Now you're making things up. The very article you posted stated they weren't sure if the labels approved it or not, that's why they used the term "seemingly." And all the promotional effort did was plaster Drake's face across multiple playlists and all over Spotify. That's it. People immediately complained because any promotional effort that's that OD is never received well. And nothing like that was done for his next album, which shattered Scorpion's Spotify record, so, what's the issue? You just wanna b**** and moan about something, acting like Drake ever NEEDED that weird promo tactic from Spotify when he's been dominating the streaming era from day 1 without anything like that but whatever helps you get through the day, I guess
