I'm not even against him rapping over trap beats. But there are luscious trap beats out there. I know because his peers are rapping over them everyday lol. It's really mind boggling when you think about it.

Two minds on this:
I like the song.
But...
It sounds like he’s chasing this current generation’s sound which is the LAST thing I want for this album. I want him to give his classic masterclass on rap like Cole just did and show this generation how to make an actual album that will last through the ages.
I don't even want a "classic." Just give us a great album. You can borrow certain elements from the new generation but make it your own and do it in a way only you can.

Views was like that only because the rapping on the project was lackluster and had not as much rap songs on there in general as it should have. The PRODUCTION and FLOWS and MELODY and SINGING however?? Was immaculate. Ain't going to be any slowly seeing CLB as a classic like Views if this is what it sounds like.

Yup this exactly. This was my fear. That he would make something that sounds just like today's music rather than going to his classic sound or pushing the boundaries again. Very disappointing if this is what the album sounds like...
