I also don't think he needs to rap over huge, bombastic beats every single time. The beat for Wants and Needs is simple but it isn't basic. Things like that work. The What's Next beat sounds jarring and he struggled to keep up with it but it was different. He's never rapped over a beat like that and I appreciated the effort. That's all I'm asking for. Try new s***. Push yourself. Not rapping over the same beats you were rapping over 12 years ago (that somehow sounded way better back then).
