Nah I don't think anybody was upset about the Shintani artstyle. People fell in love with it after the animation issues with the TV series.

Yeah it's a lot more refined. It just looks like a refined Video Game opening cut scene. I don't know how to feel about an all CGI DB movie.

The CG in Broly movie doesn't look nearly as rough as the new movie. The new movie at certain points look like a Budokai Tenkaichi 3 opening cinametic.

In a way I get it. Granola is basically Vegeta during the Namiek Saga but actually fulfilling his wish. Which is probably why Vegeta wants him to finish things and not have him rely on he and Goku. He sees it as weakness, similar to how he got pissed with Future Trunks going back and time and using them to defeat Black.

Also, now thinking about this arc even more & the last one as well, we finally see why Vegeta is against fusion & the senzu beans cause he sees it as unfair. His pride is still there which is why he told off Goku saying the only reason why they work together was to keep their families safe. He still has animosity towards him

But seeing how Goku wants Vegeta to use Ultra Ego against Gas maybe .., just maybe Vegeta will finish this arc with a W and getting that “chip” off his shoulder that Whis was talking about years ago & what Beerus was basically teaching him this arc. That and Goku probably sees Vegeta handling this situation better than him

I really don’t want this to end in fusion, this is a excellent set up for Vegeta to finally come full circle and get that win we been waiting for

Nah I feel you. On one hand I love the character progression of Vegeta and honestly the relationship development of the two of them, but it just felt like this chapter was finally leaning towards an opportunity for Vegeta to unequivocally take control of the situation and take the main villain out. On the other hand I do get what you’re saying and maybe he’s progressing past the desire to HAVE to be that person. I liked the speech he gave to Granola and giving him the Sensu but logically it makes no sense because although he technically may be strong he obviously doesn’t the battle ability as Goku and Vegeta and seems like his wish will have consequences at some point for him. I’m curious to where they take it but like you said I hope it doesn’t turn into “hey let’s fuse and beat this bad guy up” because literally nobody should be keeping up with these dudes fused together at this point like wtf

I have a feeling Granola gonna die out there in the next few chapters. Also Elec doing Gas dirty. Cause they still had another wish, who knows what the have planned. And totally forgot about 73 still being with them !

But seriously if Vegeta’s new technique doesn’t work this chapter it makes these new forms of his so useless
