everything after Yeezus and some parts of Yeezus are ass
he had a legendary run up to WTT, and that’s what we will remember him for
Yeezus still album of the millenium so far
I think they worked well with the song
that’s because that’s all you’ve been presented
TLOP is not a legendary album by any stretch of that word lol. I could write an essay on why that album is ass but simply the fact he edited the album post release and that was a meme is evidence that album is not legendary. moments that are essentially bullshit don’t enamor me to call the album legendary nor do fans glazing it because they missed 2004-2011
Yeezus & Pablo are modern experimental masterpieces, they utterly changed music and are massively influential. Everybody I know knows those are classics

that’s nice for you and everyone you know
every nigga I know thinks that’s 2 packs of ASS and that’s usually how opinions on music go as there is no 100% viewpoint

How tf do you not like Yeezus, the Yeezus tour was literally the greatest tour of all time. The sonics on that album blast you in the face like nothing else on the planet. Top tier Kanye performances and still cutting edge music 13 years later. Black Skinhead, Bound 2, On Sight, New Slaves, Hold My Liquor… this does nothing for you?!?!?

I like Yeezus and have been arguing with my homies who think it’s ass for 13 years now man, that’s how music opinions work and I don’t like using red herrings outside of the music within the album to discuss the music as it clouds what we are discussing to focus on the era lmao. I was just pointing out to you that outside of this forum and outside of online, Kanye has not been well received since Watch the Throne. is what it is. I can see the elements that make Yeezus not good despite thoroughly enjoying the project because they overly expose themselves on TLOP where Yeezus freshness in sound clouds the elements of it that are rather rough and grating to the ears such as the sonics which unfortunately people’s ears just don’t tune to (starting the album with a loud techno track as a rapper can turn a lot of people off) and to double that down across the next 2 songs…I can see why it’s uninviting, especially to hiphop fans and why a song like New Slaves was well received in juxtaposition to majority of the songs on the project. even Bound 2 is a highlight amongst those who do not like the album.
it was left field. it’s a classic to you, and it’s really good to me, but after discussing the album for 13 years, I can be honest with myself in order to engage in discussions about the project and elements of it that leave a lot to be desired compared to his past work, that only kept declining as the years have gone on, especially in lyrical content and what the nigga is saying. It became very vapid and repetitive and he’s been essentially attempting the same tropes in messaging since that project with the aside of JIK, which musically I thought was amazing as well while most people do not like that project versus Ye, KSG, TLOP, or Donda
Started a relisten of his entire solo discography last Sunday, on Donda today, album is still so good
Hurricane
Life of the Party
