no, especially now that ive dated interracially. in day to day life being with someone romantically for years in a long term relationship it's much easier and more comfortable to be with someone who understands the nuances of your culture. it feels good and safe. i got burnt out from explaining things and expecting the other person to gain understanding when i could've been with someone who already knew certain things.
