    "genre-blending sound"

    "trailblazer"

She is genre bending. Just not a trailblazer.

That's all I really want man. I just want niggas to be honest about their biases and hypocrisy.

Man for the record I feel like most of the iconic talents all received “industry plant” esque pushes, the public just wasn’t as privy. Especially before the internet. But I don’t think artist like HER deserved those “plant” remarks just for rebranding.

I think niggas just be in so deep into conspiracies next thing you gon see claims of her being Illuminati. I’m sure she gotta pic out there where one eye is covered Not denying any funny style s*** in the industry but niggas be feening to find any thread of legitimacy towards their beliefs.

These niggas corny and sensitive and won't allow any kinda critique about Doechii. Whole time I've been saying the label doing its job. I'm just not understanding why it was a problem back when labels were doing it for other artists they signed. Nobody had a problem throwing around plant and "They're being shoved down our throats" back then, but when people say it with Doechii these niggas got their pubes in a twist.

Idk the whole ”x person is being shoved down our throats” in 2025 is a lil hollow when you can tailor your timeline to what you are interested in seeing. Like if you lived my life, you’d think Taylor Swift was at best a niche indie artist. I don’t hear her music, or see news about her much at all. Now because she started dating Travis Kelce she’ll pop up more on my timeline due to football season.

    Her music also isn't good.

I’ve liked her last 4 albums

They’re not in heavy rotation admittedly but I still regularly listen to her music.

People just need to realize that a Tyler/Odd Future level of organic success is not common.

And even Tyler BACK THEN was already generating a level of buzz, a fanbase, getting FREE supreme and building relationships prior to YONKERS going viral.

To the point where when he did get signed, he was given 100% creative control from the jump. That's unheard of.

It took Drake six albums before we started hearing about UMG giving him an unlimited budget. We were just making a big deal about Meagan having 100% of her masters.

Meanwhile Azealia Banks was signed to the label as Tyler the same year.

Bridget Kelly was the first artist signed to Roc Nation, weeks before J. Cole.

  • Madonna was the first industry plant

It ain't good faith that's why y'all gotta go back to childhood career s*** as if that's relevant to me talking about THE PRESENT DAY. Major label push/marketing. It's acceptable when it's for Doechii, but for HER and Chloe x Halle it wasn't despite them completely rebranding themselves.

And for the record people keep bringing up HER and Chloe Halle Disney s*** but I gotta be real...I ain't even hear/know about that s***. I also didn't care cause frankly (more in regards to HER) it didn't really have that much impact on the music they went on to make.

What I been saying, the main point...and I swear it's really not difficult at all to understand if you not tryna desperately act obtuse about it...why it is an issue for people to mention Doechii's blatant marketing/push from her label (not that I even have a problem with it cause it's their job) but for HER everybody was all up in arms about it? Was her label not supposed to market or promote her back then?

So the music label she’s signed to, shouldn’t try to market her..? What exactly is the issue?
