These niggas corny and sensitive and won't allow any kinda critique about Doechii. Whole time I've been saying the label doing its job. I'm just not understanding why it was a problem back when labels were doing it for other artists they signed. Nobody had a problem throwing around plant and "They're being shoved down our throats" back then, but when people say it with Doechii these niggas got their pubes in a twist.

Like in all my years on KTT I've seen so many artists shat on for getting any kinda push by their label. "Plant", "forced", "payola", etc. But when it's done for Doechii, in such a clear and plain way, it's wrong for anybody to mention it or bring it up.

Niggas was tearing HER apart for the industry push she was getting like I ain't forget that. Now all of a sudden people are cool with the labels and industry pushing talent and forcing them in everything

For the record I want to make it clear that I don't think Doechii is a "plant"

She was already getting accolades, already had a following, was on the XXL freshman list and already had a "hit" years before all of this.

With that said, it's clear that a button has been pushed and what we're witnessing now is the result of artist development.

Which is what should happen.

Clear talent gap aside, we just were complaining about when the opposite happens with artist like Ice Spice and Saweetie. What do y'all want?

There is no proverbial button. All it is, is music executives see she had motion, and are throwing money behind her to push her along further, and to more masses. Some things aren’t as nefarious as we like to imagine. She’s hot right now, and generates money, so of course you’re gonna invest more to get a bigger roi. Sub her in for anyone else.

The whole discourse surrounding “plants” is funny to me anyway considering in 2025 you are way less “forced” to listen to artist than ever. We all know the industry moves on relationships. Calling it out is one thing but niggas really do pick and choose on both sides.
