You laugh but it actually did offend his political connects

Obama fuming at Jay for giving him a guilty conscious about having 808s, carter 3 and epiphany on his kenwood 5 disc tray CD changer in the trunk of his presidential suburban

I think the song rapping wise is fine but it's just factually dragged down by how wrong n out of touch he was on this moment.

And how his own ppl use auto tune like Kanye, n doesn't cudi also use auto tune on bp3? N goes to work with ppl like future.

Could have done the same flow and delivery with sumn more "timeless"

    DOA was Kanye’s idea

I don’t think the song is literally saying nobody should ever use auto tune again it was basically just saying people need to step their s*** up.

Yeah it was him wanting to kill all the corny trendy s***

“This is anti auto-tune, death of the ring-tone,
This ain't for iTunes, this ain't for sing alongs”

  • It was him saying we’re losing the art of actually rapping for melodic sing along songs

Which in hindsight, Looking from 2026, He was absolutely right

Yeah people act like he dropped this song in the middle of Future’s prime or something lol there was a ton of rappers who aren’t auto tune rappers making BS auto tune songs at the time trying to catch a hit being lazy af lol

I think once people really started making excellent music with auto tune consistently Jay was pretty quick to embrace it lol
