Don't be obtuse. Thinking the backlash is anything close (or will be) to Halle Bailey is laughable. People literally digitally altered the trailer to make Halle Bailey white. Disgusting behavior. Rachel Zegler is very open about her white latino privilege and understands why less hate is directed towards her.

She claims she's "latina" because one Colombian grandmother (as if this was some kind of race that its passed down through generations and ignoring that Colombian is just a nationality from a very diverse country) and she's always dragged on twitter because of this
For the whole world, when her movie comes out, she will be just a white actress playing a white character because this racial/ethnic identity "latino" only really exists in the US

They got the same response. Except more people called Halle ugly. The rest has been exactly the same, two girls that don't look like the character at all, but that's how casts go now when it comes to remakes/live actions.
