Time commitment gang. Something like Samurai Champloo is in and out for the same length as one season of AOT and also a complete satisfying arc. My point was, brodie said he's new so the best thing to do is to recommend him bite-sized shows that are also great to ease him in.

All I'd say is focus on the kinos, basically all of the actually good s*** is one season/a miniseries. Don't worry about any of the drivel "that time I got reincarnated as a lil boy in medieval times and my exp bar got reset to lvl 1 and there's maidens everywhere" bullshit

Ping Pong, Evangelion, Lain, boogiepop phantom, sonny boy, devilman crybaby, samurai champloo, are all good places to start imo. I also really enjoy JJK and chainsaw man, those are prolly my favorite of the shonens, they're just too gangsta

Still need to get started with JJK 3. Do I need to watch the movie that came out after the whole Shibuya Arc stuff?

Honestly, hearing the behind the scenes horror stories kinda put me off the show for a bit lol

Those horror stories are leading into some of the best animation I've ever seen in a mainstream anime. It sucks, but the s*** they're doing is GOD LEVEL. So I highly recommend it, don't let their work go unappreciated

And no, the movie that came out after s2 was just a recap/early preview of s3. You're good to keep watching
