in this situation, Poolboy Q has lost the argument, so he tries to distract from the original point by making an irrelevant or exaggerated association with something that is widely disliked or condemned by society

this tactic shifts the focus from the actual argument to provoke an emotional reaction, often by linking the opposition to something controversial or unpopular

and this is why people think kendrick stans are literally the worst

He’s not wrong though. 2020 election era a lot of Drake sxn were Trumpers.

Then you have this current era where a lot of his biggest public supporters are Akademiks/Adin Ross types.

There are several psychological and social reasons why some people spend time hating on artists they don't like instead of ignoring them:

    Need for Validation
Expressing strong opinions, even negative ones, can invite agreement or attention from others. This validation reinforces their behavior and makes them feel heard or important in the community.

    Cognitive Dissonance
When someone dislikes an artist but sees them achieving success, it can create cognitive dissonance (a psychological discomfort caused by conflicting thoughts). Criticizing the artist might help them reconcile this discomfort by reaffirming their belief that the artist's success is undeserved.

    Projection of Personal Issues
Some individuals may project their own frustrations or insecurities onto artists they dislike. Criticizing these artists becomes a way to release pent-up negative emotions.

    Social Status in Niche Communities
In certain music subcultures, disliking mainstream or popular artists can be seen as a marker of taste or authenticity. Criticizing these artists becomes a way to gain respect or credibility within their community.

i mean kendrick would have to release a good album (key word good) every year for the next 7 years to even be close

    bro is almost 40

    i think this checks out

I dont think he can sustain the run that Drake has at all. Kendrick is a great artist and I am a fan of his music, but what Drake has done is literally unprecedented. I expect Kendrick to be hot as fish grease for the next 2-3 years but it won’t be like drakes run. Anyone who thinks Kendrick can do that is fooling themselves. Ground work already been laid
