Lmao same, driving to Kassel which is like a 40 minute drive from where I live... Local cinemaxx is ass man ngl
Where do you live? I thought about driving to Leonberg (South of Germany, near Stuttgart). They are currently building the biggest IMAX screen in the world there and its scheduled to be finished and open this month. Unfortunately they wont make it for the Dune release.
Seeing this on a 1000 square meter screen would have been insane
Right now all my spare time either goes into going on dates or playing through Bloodborne

Gotta say though it's a shame we don't have a single "true" IMAX screen here yet. Every single german IMAX screen is built for digital iirc

You mean the projector, as in 70mm IMAX film?
I dont think there will be 70mm IMAX screenings for this anywhere, but idk. Nolan probably the only one doing 70mm IMAX film.
We will never get that here (again), I think Sinsheim once had a 70mm IMAX projector). its to rare and majority of audience still doesnt even know what IMAX is let alone give a s*** about film or digital.

Yeah exactly, the projectors aren't capable of 70mm IMAX, that's what I meant, but it's really no bummer because the vast majority of projectors in the US aren't capable of it either
I really do hope the IMAX screen in Leonburg gets finished soon and lasts a long time. 40 m wide screen sounds like a wet dream

Theaters in my town totally stopped with that 3d bullshit
