Yeah same here in Germany. Plus my local IMAX hasnt a single english screening in first week, so I will drive to Arnhem just to see it not dubbed. Still f***ing 3D tho. They just doing it for the few € more they Can charge for the ticket and the glasses. It has absolutely no advantages.

The new Bond is starting Sept. 30th and will play in IMAX then. So there will probably only be two weeks of IMAX screenings for Dune. I have to see it in IMAX at least once, even if its 3D. If I was rich I would come to Paris or wait a month and fly to the US just to see it in 2D lol.

Been thinking about canceling the one on Wednesday due to exact same reason + the cinema I'm going to is like a 40 minute drive away and there's pretty important stuff happening the next day at work, i already reserved seats for the IMAX showing on friday so it wouldn't be a bummer but I'm so hyped for this s*** idk if i can wait 2 more days lmao

I'm not sure how I'm going to decide yet, it'll be a spontaneous decision on Wednesday

I guess its mostly the studios faults. They choose to release lots of big movies in 3D, even tho they werent shot in or inteded to be seen in 3D, just for the extra bucks. I think in the US they backed away from that strategy but in Europe its still a thing.

Luckily im living close to the dutch border, still a 130km drive tho. I did this for Ad Astra two times.
