Yes, one of the greatest Sci-Fi novels ever. The lingo & characters are a bit daunting at first but once you get a lil more into the book everything makes a lot more sense.

Also @alphabear although that part of the book is a huge breaking point, It won't necessarily spoil much of the rest of the book or story for you IMO.

Uh iirc first book ends around there. i'd say the most exciting stuff doesn't happen until book 3 though.

Honestly I don't think Arakis gets destroyed in Dune (maybe you read something about the other books after Dune). But concerning that first spoiler, the book basically ends there.

F*** covid im still going as long as the theater is open because the times i did go the theater i felt really safe

i treated myself a few days after vaccine by going to see sound of metal at one of my fav indie theaters
