I'm f***ing dead @ "DUDE WIPES"
that's like the corporate version of "no homo"
Word, lol. S*** is literally a copy of the ugly ass face collage trend that permeates big budget movies.
Very excited for this after watching the Jodorowsky’s Dune documentary. The story and world seem very interesting.
Yo, important question. Should I read the book even if I got spoiled that Paul eventually becomes the emperor using the spice stuff? like, if I know that plot point (but not the story around it), should I still read the book?
Idk WTF happens afterwards, just FYI.

Yes, one of the greatest Sci-Fi novels ever. The lingo & characters are a bit daunting at first but once you get a lil more into the book everything makes a lot more sense.

I’m Muslim big fella, half the lingo used I’ve been known since birth
Also @alphabear although that part of the book is a huge breaking point, It won't necessarily spoil much of the rest of the book or story for you IMO.

Bro what if I also know Arakis also gets destroyed
i know I’m fkn up
Also, does the base novel get past the points where I’ve been spoiled? Or are those two points really the climax?

Uh iirc first book ends around there. i'd say the most exciting stuff doesn't happen until book 3 though.

Honestly I don't think Arakis gets destroyed in Dune (maybe you read something about the other books after Dune). But concerning that first spoiler, the book basically ends there.
Meanwhile early buzz on film titles going to Venice is starting to spread with Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune” reboot (pictured) strongly tipped to launch from the Lido — though both Warner Bros., the pic’s distributor, and the fest did not respond to confirmation requests. Villeneuve was last in Venice with non conventional sci-fi pic “Arrival” in 2016.
