Adult dependents don’t get 2000 so it’s not 2000 for real
Adult dependents never got one in the first place

They never got one in December but they’re included in this one so they should get the full 2000 since this is supposed to be a 2000 check
But nah it’s a 1400 check

Since they weren’t eligible in December they’re only getting this round of checks. While they should’ve been eligible from the start, the numbers still add up
Are you sure? The only actual bill I've seen is the one that replaces $600 with $2k in the prior bill. Is the actual bill theyre going to pass written yet?
What do you mean by replaces 600 with 2000? If you means add on 1400 yes that’s what they’re doing most likely
But no, no written bill has been released they’re in the process of writing it now

They should be getting 2000 this round though because the bill was marketed as $2000 across the board

It was marketed as 2000 before biden was even president. They settled on 600 instead. All they’re doing now is adding the other 1400 except they’re being “generous” enough to include one of the most in need demographics
idiots in here caping for smaller checks so they can defend the democrats on a semantics issue
I love how congress works at a snails pace
It’s like they really think people give a s*** if it looks like they’re free money is being “rushed through”
if they wanted checks to pass they would just do it separately not bundled together with other s***

This was the highest priority before inauguration 😂

Dems are tied 50/50 in Senate with Republicans.
That means they're still subject to the filibuster, so they're unable to just pass all policy that they want. McConnell is still arguing/hoping that Democrats do not remove the filibuster, because it would give them an avenue to "control" everything.

Trump tweeted to pass $2,000 checks while he was still President.
Pelosi said fine. The House voted to pass it unanimously. House republicans denied it. House still passed it anyways with actual votes.
It failed to pass the Senate, which was a Republican majority at the time (pre-election finale).

They don't control it dude.. they don't have a majority, they're tied. Under Trump's end it was 48/50, now it's 50/50.
They can try now but the same thing will just happen because it will get filibustered. They don't have the 60 votes.
