There’s got to be a significant portion of people who voted for Biden last time because it was “the most important election of our lives”, who have become disillusioned and might abstain this time. A lot of Republicans who dislike Trump, but will vote for him instead of the senile old man as well.

I feel like we forget it took historic voter turnout for Biden to win in 2020, and even then, swing state margins were small.

It’s not as much about changing people’s minds as it is about building support, which Biden struggled with already as one of the most unpopular incumbents ever. He had one job and failed tremendously.

Pretty simple: Biden just tripped over his words constantly, his actual voice sounded weak and feeble, his sentences were confusing. In essence, he just confirmed people’s ideas about him being old as s*** — even more than most people thought would happen.

Also, Trump was way more toned down than he had ever been in past debates (maybe in part because of the muted mics). Lied a lot, but his overall demeanor probably played way better to mainstream viewers than it ever had before.

So yeah, the world is f***ed if Biden doesn’t step down in the next 2 weeks.
