Anyone else kill Pinwheel first in their DS1 runs? I learned the strat a while ago and it’s always stuck with me through new playthroughs.

All you need is the humanity from the chest in fire link. You can summon Leeroy on the run up and he kills the boss for you. Gets you 40k souls and a mask right at the beginning of the game

I always get zweihander from graveyard and upgrade my strength until I can use it two handed. It can carry you through the early game until anor londo basically

Dodging the skeletons and the jump can be a little tricky. But it’s worth it imo

God the sounds take me back

I was just running through my old Dark Souls save and "beat it". I could do the DLC but I have before.

Instead I think I'm going to play Dark Souls 2 for the first time ever.

I have played literally every other Souls game except 2.

Time to form my own™ opinion

Dark Souls 2 is better than DS1 imo

I like DS2 a lot. At first I was eh about it but it grows on you

So i started DS2, and I swear to god I picked up a torch right at the beginning, but it's no where to be found in my inventory. Then all these torch spots kept popping up during the tutorial area.

Otherwise, the vibes are cute, I just got to Majula. Still very early. The torch thing is annoying though.

That intro cinematic was very well made too.

Edit: ok i get the torch now. Weird change.

The torch does not appear in your inventory as its not like a weapon you can equip at any times

Youll get several torches in your playthrough and each torch will add time to your torch life timer, you can light your torch at a bonfire or use a flame butterfly to light it anywhere, it will take your left hand slot

Its super useful to navigate some areas in the game, obviously dark areas come to mind but there are also a couple of cases of enemies being scared of fire that will leave you alone if your torch is lit
