What’s funny is that the director of the expansion mentioned bouncing back and forth between it (PL) and the base game, so I wonder how well they’ll compliment one another since it becomes playable at a certain point in the main narrative.

Interested to see how it all flows together, especially for first time players. Blood and Wine for instance was clearly meant to be played post base game completion.

is there a new ending for the main game with the dlc?

Yeah, and there’s also the fact that it deals with the relic and obviously delves more into Johnny’s backstory.

I’d makes me wonder as how “cut off” it’ll feel from the base game. Again, for first time players jumping in with this and 2.0, it could make for a really weird experience if it’s not done cohesively, especially given its likely length.

This is gonna make this game feel next level considering how wildly different builds can be.

No other game where you can be a cyborg ninja that deflects bullets with a katana and uses a hi tech gun that curves bullets around corners.

Or a dude with big robo arms that can throw people, punch them halfway down the block and rip off turrets and use them as gattling guns.

Or a hacker that can clear entire rooms, or even buildings, of enemies without even setting foot in them.

I know they’re adding a ton of new guns and cars with the expansion, no customization though (in terms of color).

You read all that and ask about paint job in cars

You can already find weapons and vehicles with paint jobs different from the stock ones you can buy, is it too much to ask for an option to choose? The update is amazing otherwise

Janky though it may be, it is kind of wild to think that this is the combat system they developed following up The Witcher 3, and in FP as well. And these options are all equally legit.

Once again I’m am stuck wondering why they chose to go 1st person in a game like this?

Apparently a decision from a higher up. They make the most of it though.

I also imagine, given how wild combat can get in the game, that trying to animate it all in 3rd person without making it look super jank, or even cartoony, would probably be another reason.

Trying to animate a standard 3rd person shooter, alongside a hulk build, alongside a ninja who can double jump and air dash while maintaining a consistency in quality and style I could imagine being a nightmare.

BioWare’s Anthem would be a good template to start with imo. The game is a disaster no question, but combat mechanics were pretty solid.

Actually pretty excited to play this for the first time when 2.0 drops.

Also, this is apparently his “cameo”.

They made him into a low level corpo loser.
