What horror movie breakout this decade do you prefer?

I don't want me answering homie's question to be taken as me giving an opinion about it btw

But if you're just asking me out of curiosity and not in comparison to Obsession, idk really. Not too many of them have been like "wow I really love this and will rewatch for years to come." Sinners if that counts. I thought Weapons was pretty cool too.

This isn’t a fair critique but all those scenes weren’t standout to me because I’ve seen similar interpolations in recent memory. Majority of the scenes I was like ‘ oh I’ve seen that in Bring her back, talk to me, smile, it follows, long legs etc’

Like I said it’s an unfair critique but that was my first thought when seeing those standout scenes so it kind of ruined the novelty of the film for me

Sinners isn't a breakout. It's a blank check from two guys who made several billion dollars together prior

I watched Obsession twice and like Creggar a lot. Obsession is a more satisfying story.

Right, I said "if that counts" cause I didn't exactly know what you mean by breakout, and I said I wasn't tryna compare anything to Obsession. 😭

Someone's first hit? Barbarian and Weapon are the only two that come close. I think Obsession is more single minded than either, but I appreciate that focus.

People have made their entire personality humbling this movie made for exponentially less than the movies they compare it to. With a cast of newer faces because they are upset people enjoy it for what it is

not a big horror buff personally but I was hyping this one up to my wife (based on all the positive word of mouth) since she loves them and I was just praying it delivered

she enjoyed it thoroughly and added bonus I was entertained too. I'm a little iffy on the ending tho
