It’s insane that it’s been a decade since this classic dropped. One of the most important albums of the 2010s

Show your appreciation for this masterpiece.
    What’s your favorite track??

100%, there really is no debate

And it wasn’t just influential in pop music, it had a big influence on hip hop and R&B artists as well . Rihanna, Travis and Rocky are just a few examples of artists who were directly influenced by this album

I hate that this album kind of became a meme

    S*** is a masterpiece

  • Jul 17, 2025

His magnum opus imo, I feel like a lot of tame impala fans might not agree with that but I feel like it’s definitely fair to say

Yup. It always bothered me that the name ‘Tame Impala’ basically became the label for generic or basic music over the years

And it’s not even Kevin’s fault. It’s just that this album was a lot of hip hop fan’s entry point for psych pop/rock , so the band started to be seen as “entry level music”

My favorite song from this album

You’re definitely missing out. It still sounds like it could come out today and feel just as fresh as it did in 2015

Also Rihanna covered one of the songs on her ANTI album, and a lot of people still see that as one of her best songs ever

  • Jul 17, 2025

Too many to choose from but New Person, Same Old Mistakes

  • Jul 17, 2025

Probably the most influential Pop album of the past ten years

Ushered in the whole 80’s nostalgia stuff in the particular way that artists would go about doing that sound

Classic for sure and an all timer for me

  • Jul 17, 2025

s/o to the b sides too I loved this song

Is it socially acceptable to love this album again? S*** caught way too much flack over time for being the “indie starter pack” type album

  • Elite mursick.

I remember hearing Let It Happen when it dropped as a single and just knew this album was going to be special.

It got me through my first real breakup and was the soundtrack of my Summer in 2015 & 2016.

Top 10 album of the 2010s to me
