if youre gonna watch it drunk then i want a drunk reaction
Fine but I'll just post it on here instead of the letterbox😂
I would definitely definitely recommend some 50s Bergman for getting drunk to over Persona. Smiles Of Summer Night and Seventh Seal are f***ing hilarious... Persona is exquisite but doesn't have a shred of humour to it.
Ivan's Childhood would be nice but if I was really gonna recommend some good drinking foreign films it'd be Viy from '67 and Black Cat White Cat from '98.
black cat white cat title just clicked to me lol
i was discussing a documentary about gypsies a few years ago with someone and he kept bringing that film up and said some scenes in the documentary could've been pulled out of that film
will have to see

As a person who's suffered from derealization my whole life, I immediately felt deep emotion watching persona. As far as everything else. The dichotomy between the two main characters who are both putting on a mask, I thought this s*** was genius. Being drunk didn't really effect the experience of watching this weird ass movie, or maybe I wasnt drunk enough😂
I'ma wake up tommorow, drink a beer, pop a xan, and watch come and see cause this has been a depressing ass quarantine😂

Wait so what did you think the woman was going through before you knew what derealization was? I imagine not knowing that some people don't truly feel alive makes the movie even wierder🤔

Is it from any specific illness, or do you just have really bad anxiety or something?
Sorry if that's too personal of a question, haha, I'm just genuinely curious about it

Google depersonalization disorder. Its what the movie is about. How someone perceives their existence personally vs what they have to be to the outside world

I know what it is (my husband works at a psychiatric hospital and he's mentioned it before), I was just wondering about where yours stems from fam
Yes but also didn't I snap you Max Linder dancing?
Yeah haha but i figured your post was talking about the giant fire video before that
Elric's backyard is a cloud of smoke while fire engines are blaring in the distance
Elric: "you see that clip of Max Linder dancing?"

Lmao well the fire is way up the valley and the fire department is literally close enough to hose my house down without leaving their parking lot. Also this is the film thread

I was gonna say earlier that i swore the notification said you quoted me in Fam thread

not sure if it's actually depersonalization but it's definitely some kind of dissociative disorder
and idk if it's just me or frequency bias but i see the two words depersonalization and derealization everywhere, especially on ktt
When these mfs gonna stop playing around and put out a lot more Ford films tho?
@Elric
