Damn they did a great job of this like
it definitely looks better (super golden in some scenes but that might just be because of the direct comparison to the blue MGM) but really they only took the MGM transfer (which was already beautiful - gj MGM) and color graded it differently. Not like its one of their more impressive releases
more interesting comparison is that Destry release

Finna watch persona tonight drunk in glorious 4k
That sounds horrible
get some mushrooms
Thought getting plastered on wine for a Fellini would be a good idea once... Made Dolce Vita first watch so boring lol. Thankfully I was blasted on shrooms for 8 ¹/².
Only good drunk films are MCU s*** in theatre with friends, otherwise I'm snooze

I find watching movies on psychedelics awful. I cant focus on the movie because everything looks like a stage play or just a bunch of random weird images I can't make sense of.
Or maybe I just took too many tabs those times😂

I would definitely definitely recommend some 50s Bergman for getting drunk to over Persona. Smiles Of Summer Night and Seventh Seal are f***ing hilarious... Persona is exquisite but doesn't have a shred of humour to it.
Ivan's Childhood would be nice but if I was really gonna recommend some good drinking foreign films it'd be Viy from '67 and Black Cat White Cat from '98.

I don't even know how to work this app yet bruh
I just joined and only reviewed three movies I watched recently.
Prolly won't review persona tonight tho. Being drunk isn't really giving it a fair chance
